April 2020 ~Astro Report~

Planetary transits for April 2020 (sidereal zodiac)

April is the month when we will be confronted with the energy of Rahu und Ketu in a most pure and powerful way.

They have captured all the planets in a Kala Sarpa Yoga and both sit alone in their sign. The Nodes of the Moon are not planetary bodies but invisible points in the sky, thus they work in subtle and mysterious ways. As they are still in the most transformative and destructive Nakshatras, we can expect some karmic reset for the world at large and in our own lives.

Rahu in the Nakshatra of Ardra gives us the courage to make efforts towards fulfilling 6 Ardraour destiny and desires by taking drastic steps. This month we must aim to align with our purpose in life, although we may not quite know how to do this.

Some area in our life begs for transformation. Something must be cleared and destroyed to make way for a new energy or situation.

This personal transformation, and the transformation in the world at large, can not be achieved without some sorrow and tears for the loss of what has gone before. On the 22th Rahu moves into the Nakshatra of Mrigashira. I expect we will be over the peak of the Covid 19 disaster then.

Rahu calls for outward directed action.

On the other end of this axis we have Ketu in Moola, this month also free to act without 19 Moolahindrance.

Moola energy combined with Ketu asks us for total transformation. This works on the deepest inner level. It forces us to uproot all our delusionary attitudes and ideas to reach our ultimate inner truth. Through deep enquiry we may experience spiritual awakening and complete reversals in our life and belief systems.

This Rahu/Ketu axis is not for the faint hearted. We must be willing to face losses and, if our loved ones are bewildered by our new attitudes and actions, we may temporarily feel like an outcaste. This outcast feeling is of course also brought on by the lockdown and social distancing measures.

The Moon will activate the Ketu energy on an emotional level on April 13th.

The Nakshatra of Uttara Ashada is loaded with complicated planetary energy this month. Saturn, Jupiter and Mars (and Pluto) are all sitting together and not all of them get on well. This takes place in the sidereal sign on Capricorn.

In the world around us this combo of planets will put restrictions in place. By now we can see this is due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Saturn represents borders and restrictions, suffering and hard work. With Mars in the mix we may see the army and police forces involved.  Jupiter indicates travel, finance and religious institutions. Well, all that already ground to a halt and this is not likely to change this month.    Pluto makes sure things will never be the same again.

As without, so within. How this plays out on an individual level depends on our birth chart.

The best way to deal with it is to just get on with the work that is required of us. Maybe you will have to work on teaching your children, maybe work on relationship is required, maybe home and garden, your novel, art, sorting the website, the finances, work on ourselves, maybe look after elders. You will figure it out, just do the work.

We may feel things are developing too slowly for our taste, or we may feel restricted, frustrated, or maybe we need an entirely new approach, but be assured that slowly and steadily does it in this case. Our efforts will benefit us in the long run!

And of course, change brings new opportunities.

XC560-902321755Our individuality, status and sense of self, represented by the Sun will receive an aspect from Saturn during the first half of this month. This can diminish our drive and vitality while the Sun is in Revati Nakshatra. On the 14th we will feel a big improvement in self worth and vitality when it enters Ashwini, its sign of exaltation and away from the drishti of Saturn. Any self promotion will be much more appropriate and successful in the second half of this month.

We could see the number of cases of covid 19 diminish in some places from then on too, as Ashwini is the sign of the youthful healers, but this will be more apparent after the New Moon.

Full Moon on the 8th will be in the Nakshatra of Chitra.

Artist and designers, take this inspiring opportunity to show your brilliance and create14 Chitra great work. Opportunities may come your way.

We can be newly inspired and may feel the need to create beauty and elegance in some area of our life.

This Nakshatra deals with outward beauty. Fashion, jewellery, art, architecture, make up, landscape gardening and any form of design is favoured by this Moon.

Falling in the sign of Virgo we can pay good attention to detail.

If we reflect carefully, we will see that all that glitters isn’t gold.

A great time to find out what beauty is really all about.

The New Moon on the 23rd will see the Sun in exact exaltation.

This heralds a great time for a month ahead to start promoting new ventures. We will1 Ashvini feel extraordinarily self confident and can make quick decisions. Anything that is started this New Moon may give very fast results. We will feel powerful, youthful, and courageous.

Desires may suddenly be fulfilled (if we take the right action).

Health problems can be resolved quickly, as fast healing is indicated by the Nakshatra of Ashwini. Again this is a great boost to diminish the death rates we have been experiencing world wide due to Covid 19.

Ashwini is the Star of Transport. It is fast and impulsive, so try not to speed while driving. In the month ahead we can hope that some of the transport restrictions may be lifted.

Our beautiful planet Venus is shining bright in the evening sky. She feels extra happy in her own sign of Taurus. At first in hot Krittika Nakshatra she will take no nonsense and will tell us exactly what she wants. In Krittika, “the one who cuts,” we could feel cut off from our loved ones and our normal pleasures. From the second week onwards she will be in Rohini. Venus in this placement will make us feel beautiful, alluring and irresistibly romantic, or others may appear to us that way. An aspect of Jupiter will expand all these qualities and will add a sense of optimism to these feelings. Despite what is going on in the world, Venus still has the ability to make us feel comfortable and loved.

3. Krittika 4 Rohini

May we all radiate strength, courage, wisdom, kindness and beauty during these transformative times.

Blessings,

And Greetings from Ireland

Vedic Astrology Remedy for the Current Situation.

Mars ingress into Capricorn report

Today, 22nd of March 2020, the planet Mars will enter the sign of Capricorn. Here it joins Saturn and Pluto.

Saturn in Capricorn is responsible for the current restrictions and limits that are forced upon us externally at this time.

Pluto is adding the flavour of death, destruction and total transformation. We may expect this particular transformation of dissolution and renewal of the current power structure to be complete at the end of the 20 year Pluto transit.

When Mars joins this combo (from today onward) we will see that the police and the army will get involved in enforcing the restrictions.

We can also expect a strong feeling of frustration with these restrictions as Mars, the planet of action doesn’t take kindly to being forced to stay at home and do nothing. This sense of frustration could express itself in the form of public rebellion but surely without result.

Mars will leave the sign of Capricorn on May 4th.

The disaster of the worldwide Covid 19 outbreak was initiated by Solar eclipse of December 26th 2019. (see my predictions for 2020)

Eclipses in turn are caused by the nodes of the Moon, Rahu and Ketu. This time both are situated in the most destructive and transformative Nakshatras or Vedic stars.

The Remedy.

How do we get through this rather frustrating period of forced isolation in the best way?

Here is the trick: We must focus on working in a wise manner with Rahu and Ketu.

Let us look at Ketu first.    XC560-902321757

Ketu, the South Node, works sudden, forceful and unexpected. It indicates disturbances, isolation, alienation, doubt and conflict. It is irrational and its effects are mostly detected through “feelings”.

Most of us are, at the moment, suddenly and unexpectedly forced into isolation. All these words are indicators of Ketu’s actions. We may experience conflicting feelings of alienation and doubt.

On the positive side, Ketu gives us compassion and great spiritual wisdom.

Be happy with the forced isolation. Isolation is the best remedy during this viral outbreak. It will bestow us with the blessings of Ketu.

It is excellent for concentration and meditation. We can use Ketu’s energy for working towards liberation and enlightenment. We can explore our subconscious and past life karmas.

These are the hidden gifts that self isolation and social distancing are presenting us with at this moment in time. Go deep and get to know yourself on a more profound level. Without distractions we can find what is truly valuable to us. We are meant to do this now.

Be happy and use this time well.

How to deal with Rahu?    XC560-902321754

Rahu, the North Node, wants us to follow our desires, our illusions and temptations. It is forever hungry for experiences, but always disappointed and dissatisfied. Rahu can give us irrational fears and phobias. It deals with deception and the use of drugs.

So we have seen Rahu’s fear and illusion in action through, for example, people fighting over toilet paper (haha).  I would certainly call that irrational. We have seen long queue’s at Amsterdam’s coffee shops of people worried about their future supply of weed. Others have been hoarding drugs, painkillers, hand sanitizers; you name it, all in the name of fear. Rahu is always dissatisfied, no matter how much it has been able to haul home.

Now we are marooned at home, not able to chase our desires as usual, not able to throw ourselves in the path of temptation in the outside world. Not able to immediately re-assert our illusions that involve goods or people or social situations, or even work, we can truly take time to explore our imagination, our disappointments and face our illusionary fears.

This time of isolation forces us to become aware of our irrational Rahu tendencies. Deceptive Rahu rarely give us a break to observe what we are really doing.

The energy of Rahu is placed in our lives to fulfil our life’s purpose. We need to stop the relentless chase of illusions and desires to find our true strength and courage and our true soul’s purpose.

These are the gifts and remedies of Rahu we may realise when we just calm down a bit.

Best Wishes

March 2020 Astro Report

Planetary transits for the month of March

Please note: Vedic Astrology uses the Sidereal Zodiac

This month starts with a rare opportunity for inner exploration and for rejuvenation of our spiritual practice with Jupiter, Mars and Ketu (the South Node) in Sagittarius. n20 Poorvashada           A Jupiter Ketu conjunction is the most excellent placement for meditation and introspection, particularly in Sagittarius. It is a time for exploring our subconscious, past lives and our deeper belief systems. So please, no matter what is going on in the world, and the world stage sure isn’t pretty, make use of this rare transit. Mars will give extra energy and discipline in any yoga practice. Mars and Jupiter will be in Poorva Ashada Nakshatra the first part of this month. Pluto is also part of this mix and may give some transformative insights.

When the Moon meets Rahu (North Node) in the Nakshatra of Ardra on the 4th of March, it will activate a prior difficult situation or event, (what ever that might be for you individually). But this time you might want to act on instinct, strike back or destroy something in the hope to resolve the issue. Beware of taking any actions based on desire or emotion that day, things are not as they seem as Rahu is the Graha of illusion and deception.

The Full Moon will occur on the 9th at 5.50 pm UT in the Venus ruled Nakshatra of Poorva Phalguni, the Star of Fortune.n11 Poorva Phalguni It is time to relax, be happy and enjoy the fruits of your labours. This is a very creative Nakshatra, your creative endeavours will be successful and bring you pleasure. It’s good for romance too.    Jupiter, the indicator of children, looking at the Nakshatra of procreation, gives an excellent opportunity for those of us hoping to become pregnant. This must be the best Moon of the year to conceive! Besides, the Full Moon in Poorva Phalguni is certainly party time! With Jupiter aspecting this Moon, enhancing the whole situation, and Venus in a sign of courage and action, we might go overboard a bit on the party vibe.

The New Moon, always the start of a one month cycle, will be on the 24th at 9.30 am UT. It will occur in the Sign of Pisces in the Stars of Uttara Bhadrapada.n26 Uttarabhadrapada                                 The energy of this Nakshatra can bring great bliss and blessings, provided we have practised to live the life of a yogi. Qualities of sacrifice, empathy, renunciation and virtue are needed to bring out the heavenly blessing that Uttara Bhadrapada wants to bestow upon us. These are the Stars of the accomplished Yogi. So note that this New Moon it is a fantastic opportunity to start a retreat or a secret practice. Seclusion, shamanic ritual or yogic practice will give brilliant results during this Moon cycle!            Whatever you feel you might have to do on a higher level, do it now. Saturn is aspecting this Moon, adding a sense of seriousness and a greater willingness to do the work.

We will suddenly feel a sense of restriction on whatever we are doing when Mars moves into Capricorn on the 22nd. 21 Uttarashada Now we will have to deal with the nitty gritty of hard work, keeping to the regulations, paying the bills on time etc. Due to the spread of the Covid-19 Virus I expect to see some government action towards greater restrictions on travel and commerce and more quarantine regulations. Or some other event will call for strict laws and clampdowns. Mars will conjunct Pluto and Saturn (from 22nd onward) in the Nakshatra of Uttarashada, which will make everyone feel invincible. Expect a Big Bang of rebellion and revolution. There may be attempts to overthrow governments and the powers that be. Of course you can apply this scenario of rebellion, dissolution and renewal to your own personal life. Change is on the cards for better or worse. Uttarashada is a wise, responsible and obedient Nakshatra, hopefully we will all behave with wisdom to make this change happen without descending into chaos. The changes set in motion during this time, whether they are personal or on the world stage, are likely to be permanent.

Jupiter will join this party on the 30th. More on this next month.

Beautiful Venus will be in Aries most of this month, aspected by Jupiter. n2. BharaniShe will be pursuing pleasure, beauty and love in a big way and with extra passion and impatience while travelling through the Nakshatra of Ashwini (up to the 12th) where she wants it all, and wants it right now. Here she acquires healing qualities. Healers will love and enjoy their work a lot and love will have healing powers during this time. Then, from 12th to 24th, Venus will be in Bharani Nakshatra where she is strong and experiences the highs and lows of life and learns to understand the secrets of birth and death. We may face some extremes with our loved ones during this time.  On the 28th, after this wild ride, Venus will move into the sign of Taurus, where she is very comfortable and at ease.

Mercury starts the month retrograde in Aquarius, until the 10th, in the Nakshatra of Shatabhisha.n24 Shatabhisha (2) Do not rely too much on internet communication. Electricity supply may be disrupted for some of us too, perhaps due to lightening strikes. It is a better time to go inward to heal and explore our sorrows, secrets and suspicions, or sit in shamanic circle for inner healing. Mercury in Shatabhisha gives us the opportunity to explore where we have made mistakes and then communicate our truly heartfelt apologies where necessary.

Lastly, mid month the Sun will move from Aquarius into Pisces. It will then receive aspects from both Mars and Saturn, again indicating restrictions on and/or from authority figures. What would usually be a time of hope and progress and in the Northern hemisphere the beginning of spring may be marred by some frustrations. Not to worry though, our big bright Sun will outshine any setbacks soon enough.

Happy Spring Equinox!

May your month of March be filled with Joy and Wisdom.

Greetings from Ireland

February 2020

Astro Report

eyes of kali_n

according to priciples of Vedic Astrology and using the sidereal zodiac

The planet Saturn has finally moved into Capricorn last month, starting a whole new cycle of re-organisation. Until the 13th of February it will share its zodiac sign with the Sun. This will keep ego, rulers and governments in check with restrictions and a sense of reality. Our own sense of importance will face the same reality check and our vitality may suffer a little too during this period.

After the 13th the Sun, representing our sense of self and our vitality, will move into the next sign of Aquarius where it will suddenly feel more free and eccentric, ready to interact with society as a whole. It can enable us to chase our highest ideals for about one month.

For a few days (13th – 17th) Mercury will be helpful to the Sun with interactions, playfulness and curiousity until it goes retrograde on the 17th for almost one month. The usual Mercury retrograde traits may then be experienced. Be ready for hiccups with communication, documents, travel, etc. after the 17th.

The first week of February holds a great opportunity of spiritual invigoration and inspiration with Ketu and Jupiter together in the Nakshatra of Purvashada. Pluto nearby will give the added energy for revelation and transformation.

This one week of peace(until the 8th this month) in the sign of Sagittarius is a great time for doing some deep inner work and will give us a subconscious push to concentrate on figuring out what we really believe in and hold dear on a spiritual level.

Make use of this opportunity!

Mars (planet of action) will enter this scene in Sagittarius on the 8th and will certainly disturb the peace. After a whole year of demonstrations, threats of war and uprising of the people the world over, now the warrior planet will get involved. It is ready to fight for righteousness in the sign of Sagittarius. Of course various groups of people will have radically different opinions of righteousness. All will be ready to take action and fight for their beliefs this month and into the first 3 weeks of March.

Around the 20th – 25th of February (or even a few days earlier when the Moon joins) we may see some very sudden destructive and explosive events as Mars conjuncts Ketu and at the same time moves through the point of the Solar eclipse that took place in December. This all takes place in the Nakshatra of Moola which has an enormous potential for destruction, transformation and for revealing the truth.

This really does look like a very unpleasant and dangerous combination!

(I would not be surprised if we see some explosive cosmic event too, like a Solar flare hitting Earth, or some activity at the centre of our Galaxy, but this is just wild speculation on my part).

Make sure you stay extra grounded during this period, go into nature, dig your garden. Be still, be centred. Dig for your own innermost truth.

Venus, the planet of love, luxury and pleasure sits all alone most of this month in the sign of Pisces where she is exalted and working at her best, tuning into unconditional cosmic love and oneness. But now she is under scrutiny of both Saturn and Mars by Vedic aspects.

On the 26th she reaches her true point of exaltation, while the Moon joins her for a few days. We may very likely feel a sense of oneness with all the trouble in the world and this can be traumatic for those of us who are sensitive.

Please, guard your heart and feelings during these days and tune out of worldly affairs if you can.

Pluto moves into Capricorn by the end of the month, starting its 20 year long job of blowing up the established world order. After these 20 years a whole new generation will be in charge.

Take care of yourself this month.

Be Well.

Best Wishes

January 2020 ~Astro Report~

(According to the principles of Vedic Astrology, using the sidereal zodiac)

20150622_081821

The month of January begins with a continuation of planetary positions from last month, a chaotic pile up of 6 planets in Sagittarius. We already know how that feels and I won’t write about it here.

Rahu, the North Node of the Moon, who wants to fulfil desires right now and at all costs, has not been able to express itself very well due to the direct drishti (aspect) of Saturn all last year, putting more emphasis on its counterpart Ketu in the sign of Sagittarius. This gave rise to a slow burn frustration all of last year.

Mars, from its strong Scorpio position, is now aspecting Rahu, making for some unexpected, sudden and even secret action towards getting what Rahu desires. What Rahu desires for you will depend on your birth chart. After the 24th this month, when Saturn finally moves into Capricorn, its own sign, these restrictions will be taken away from Rahu.  We may see some explosive bids for freedom on a personal level and on the World stage then. Luckily there is also an aspect from Jupiter. This will give some protection and wisdom to Rahu.

Never the less, be careful with your actions this Month, make sure they are not driven by illusion, desperation or obsession.

The Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse on January 10th falls in the Nakshatra of Punarvasu, indicating second chances and renewal. We may get another go at an old project, get together with someone from the past again or perhaps an opportunity to start over again in some aspect of our life will open up. This Full Moon will also activate Rahu’s desirous and impulsive nature. As there are so many planets involved in this eclipse, all of them in fact except Venus, there could be much confusion, people giving wrong or conflicting advice, we may be bewildered or act out of compulsion. Caution is advisable, but at the same time don’t miss an opportunity where it presents itself. It could change your life, it could be part of the new plan.

The Saturn/Pluto conjunction is on the dot on the 7th, the effects of this conjunction have been felt for a good while now. This conjunction sets the stage for irreversible changes in the old political and religious power structures of this world. The Sun, a representative of political power, joins this conjunction exact on the 13th, but is already generally involved from mid December until mid January. We will see (are seeing) some destructive shows of ego and strength in the political arena.

Both the Sun and Mercury will move into the sign of Capricorn by mid month, lightening the load of Sagittarius.

For the Sun, the indicator of individuality, power, authority, status, fame and vitality, this is not the happiest transit. Capricorn will give the Sun a reality check and take excessive ego down a notch or two. Political figures that have made some show of power a while ago will now have to deal with consequences.

For us as individuals we may find we have to work harder than we anticipated for recognition or status. Our vitality may suffer a little too.

Mercury (after 13th) will be happy in Capricorn to organise the office, the websites, sort out and catalogue any paperwork and writing and structure all communication methods. So the second half of this month is an excellent time for getting things ready for publication, sorting your information, setting your travel itinerary, sending formal messages, boosting your logic and writing that paper for your school or course, or preparing a speech. Or maybe you will just be re-organising your kitchen cupboards, who knows, it all depends on your birth chart of course.

The Big Celestial change this Month is on the 24th when Saturn moves into its own home, the sign of Capricorn .

This is the beginning of a new cycle, the planet of karma is strong and happy here and will start to organise, set new disciplines and boundaries. For all of us the coming 2 and a half years will not be a time to be lazy. The work we will do during this time will pay off in the long run. Saturn is not afraid of austerity, patience or service, and neither should we. ”As we sow, so we shall reap” is Saturn’s motto. You will have to know your Vedic birth chart to see in what area of your life this is going to play out.

The Sun, Mercury and the Moon are waiting in Capricorn to welcome Saturn home, with a new Moon occurring within a day of Saturn’s ingress.

The New Moon (24th) is always a new beginning, setting the trend for the month to come. This time it will fall in the Nakshatra of Shravana, good for listening and learning, getting together with people for discussion and education. As this Moon coincides with the ingress of Saturn, let’s hope this New Moon will inspire people to instigate citizen’s forums and discussion groups, so that the ordinary people may have an input of ideas during the 2 and a half years of restructuring that will take place with Saturn in Capricorn.

Venus, the planet of pleasure, beauty and love, is happily sitting on her own in a friendly sign this month, not involved in all the drama that is going on elsewhere.  Whatever is going on around us, it is not spoiling our feeling of happiness. After the 9th of January, when she moves from Capricorn to Aquarius, we will feel quite free and spontaneous with our expressions of luxury, beauty and love.

The last week of this month will have some very nice astro weather with Mars, Jupiter and Saturn all working well, feeling at home in their own zodiac signs.

The sign of Sagittarius is breathing a huge sigh of relief now, with only Jupiter and Ketu (and Pluto) left.  Although this combo might inspire some religious fanaticism in people with less flexible minds, it is a wonderful combination for inner work, perhaps finding hope and inspiration in ancient belief systems, or remembering teachings and teachers from our past. It can certainly lead us to true enlightenment through a meditation practice. On the other hand this trio may indicate a complete letting go of old beliefs. Churches and other religious institutions may not survive the revelations of the coming year. These kind of issues will start to become clear after the 24th.

This month is one of Big changes, setting the stage for the year ahead. Enjoy and Be Happy.

 Greetings from Ireland.

20151018_122039

 Best Wishes,

~Madhuri~
