A short overview, monthly reports will follow.

Note: We use the principles of Vedic Astrology and the Sidereal Zodiac.

Solar Eclipses

The 2 Solar eclipses for this year fall in the Nakshatras of Moola and Ardra.  Actually, the Solar eclipse in Moola occurred on the 26th of December 2019, we take this as the start date for the following predictions.

Moola and Ardra are the most transformative and destructive of all Nakshatras and thus I wanted to do some deep research to find what happened in other years when solar eclipses occurred in these stars.

Indeed, as expected we find many disasters with huge loss of life during those years.

Unfortunately for this year we can predict many natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, super tornadoes, blizzards, record cold spells or heat waves, all with loss of life.  (note that freak weather events are not new, my research went back to 1908, all years with Solar eclipses on this axis had extreme weather events, even an exploding asteroid)

Political bombings of buildings, trains and airplanes is another theme we may see play out again. And, going on past happenings, we may expect some plane crashes and passenger boats sinking.

The influenza season this year could be worse than usual or other outbreaks of infectious disease may happen.

Evacuations and displacement of people for political or environmental reasons can be a real possibility in the coming year. (This is happening in Australia as I write this)

The eclipse in Ardra Nakshatra will take place on the 21st of June 2020.

Political Shifts.

If we combine the axis of the Solar eclipses, with the Saturn/Pluto conjunction, and with the ingress of Saturn into its own sign of Capricorn (both in January), we could see some major and perhaps unexpected changes in political structures. Monarchs and emperors will abdicate this year. Presidents and political leaders may step down to make space for others, either by force or willingly.

We may well be surprised by changes in the political landscape on par with the dismantling of the Soviet Union and the fall of the Berlin wall in the past. Maybe it will be the EU’s turn these coming years?

The same influences will affect the foundations of the worldwide Economic System.

We will be uprooting the old and outdated, and slowly put new structures in place. The year 2020 seems to be a year of practice dealing with a new situation on many levels. The year after, in 2021, we may actually be better at building these new structures and systems.

On a Personal Level.

Last year has been a year of discontent on a global scale as is clearly visible if we look at all the protest and riots that took place worldwide. If you are not aware of this uprising, it is because as they say: “the revolution will not be televised”. A lot of it was not covered in the main stream news.

On a personal level you may have experienced difficulties and frustrations in some areas of your life last year, many of us did.

Now is an excellent time to get back to basics, back to your roots.

Tune into nature, simplify your life.

Start a spiritual practice, one you have abandoned some years ago perhaps. Start studying for higher education. Tweek your behaviour and your moral attitude. Meditate.

Above all, now, beginning the last week in January, is the time to build new structures in your daily life that are sustainable and in balance with nature. With Jupiter and Ketu in Sagittarius, we can go back to understanding the validity of old knowledge and improve the application of a natural way in many disciplines. Natural building, new economics, efficient energy use based on natural law, re-introduction and fabrication of natural fabrics, better ways of agriculture, nature preservation, natural medicine, re-forestation. You name it, anything you can think of. Pick what you are good at and start inventing better and more natural ways for yourself, humanity, and all life on the planet. If you look at the sign of Sagittarius in your own Vedic birth chart, you will find a clue as to which house in your chart and what part of your life will give you many insights if you take your time for meditation and inner exploration. For where to focus on what to re-invent and built anew look at the sign of Capricorn in your chart.

Astrologically speaking, after a whole year of protest and discontent, now is the time to dive deep, to find your truth in harmony with nature and invent a new way of life, please take advantage of the situation. We are all invited to invent a new wold and a new way of life in the next few years.

This year, 2020, there are frequent changes in the Astro Weather. Look out for monthly updates on this website.

Greetings from Ireland.
